Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using Racely, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the app. These terms apply to all users of Racely.

Use of the App

Racely is a personal running and race tracking tool. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree to:

  • Use the app only for its intended purpose of tracking races and running goals
  • Provide accurate information when entering race data
  • Not attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or tamper with the app
  • Not use the app in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

Your Data

All data you enter into Racely is stored locally on your device. You retain full ownership of your race data and profile information. We do not access, collect, or store any of your data on external servers.

You are responsible for maintaining backups of your data. Deleting the app will permanently remove all stored data from your device.

Intellectual Property

Racely, including its design, code, graphics, and content, is owned by its developer and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the app on your Apple devices as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app or its content without prior written permission.

Disclaimer of Warranties

Racely is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that:

  • The app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses
  • The results obtained from using the app will be accurate or reliable
  • Any defects in the app will be corrected

Use of the app is at your sole risk. Always consult a qualified medical professional before beginning any new exercise program.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of Racely, including but not limited to:

  • Loss of data due to device failure or app deletion
  • Inaccurate pace or distance calculations
  • Physical injury resulting from training decisions made using the app

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app.

Third-Party Services

Racely is distributed through the Apple App Store, which is governed by Apple's own terms and conditions. We are not responsible for the practices of Apple or any other third-party services. Links to external websites (such as race registration sites) are provided for your convenience; we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites.

Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to update these Terms of Service at any time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above. Your continued use of the app after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. We encourage you to review these terms periodically.
